Hillside Wilderness Preservation Campaign and Petition was established
in 2004 to provide a communtiy voice and direction
for preserving the Monrovia Foothills. The Petition offers a simple
and respectible 5-point request of the City of Monrovia to preserve
the Monrovia Foothills in a fashion which honors and respects the
desire of the Citizens by not disturbing or endangering families,
streets, neighborhoods, homes or wildlife of the Monrovia Foothills.

In
just a few months in 2004, the Hillside Wilderness Preservation Campaign
gathered over 2,500 signed Petitions to Save the Foothills.

The
Hillside Wilderness Preservation Campaign Group is filing a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Lawsuit against the city of Monrovia on or before the required deadline of February 19, 2009. This is being done based on and for the reasons outlined in Attorney Robert Silverstein's letter, dated January 20, 2009. His letter is attached. |
